Charleville got back to winning ways this weekend with a superb victory against league rivals Breska Rovers. In one of the few games to go ahead at the weekend was played in Adare Manor Astroturf which added to the occasion. A very fast pace start set the game a light and it stayed like this for the entire ninety minutes. Charleville offered the more attacking threat in the early phases with a few close chances but nothing clear cut as Breska Rovers defence stood firm. The deadlock was broken mid way through the first half with when Michelle Jones latched on the wonderful cross which made its way to the net after a goalmouth scramble. Charleville took this lead to the break after an exciting half.
Second half began and within two minutes Breska Rovers had equaliser with a super strike from their number nine and get game was back in the balance. Charleville began to gain control again in the centre of the park and with twenty minutes left in the game a through ball which split the Breska defence say Sophie Hudner through on goal and made no mistake getting Charleville second goal of the game. Cayleigh McNamara sealed the tie five minutes from the end with a superb strike from edge of the box which rebounded into the goals off the upright. Charleville progress to next round were they await the draw to be made
