*27th November * *U12 girls national cup result* Our u12 girls were unlucky in defeat in a game where the outcome was settled after extra time and penalties. The game finished 0-0 after extra time with Holycross edging the game in a penalty shoot out on a score line of 2-1 with Viviana finding the net for us. All of the Charleville girls shone on the day with a fantastic display of end to end football by both teams. Lauren stood into goals and played there like an experienced net minder, her safe hands and quick movement off the line kept Holycross attacks at bay including 2 excellent saves during the penalty shoot out. Ciara Bresnan was our player of the day with a magnificent game at full back, working tirelessly to cut out attacks and driving forward out of defence. This group have continued to impress us with their determination and fantastic attitude. They are developing into a fine side who are really enjoying their football and will have many more highs than lows this season.
