Another great performance from this group of boys, they are getting stronger with every game they play together. They have been working so hard in training with great numbers in attendance even during bad weather conditions. Once again Cian was our stand in goal keeper and again put in a very accomplished performance to help us keep a clean sheet. We were solid at the back with David, Jack, Donnacha and Mark all alert to any possible dangers. Our midfield of Evan and Hugh covered so much ground to help out in attack and defence. Sam and Yusif are very creative players and again work very hard for the team. The ever reliable Shams is so consistent in front of goals scoring a lovely header to get us up and running. Matheus enjoyed his game with 2 goals scored, the first from a lovely pass from Sam and his second early in the second half from the penalty spot. PJ, Ben, James, Jan and Caio all played their part when introduced to the game. Donnacha went past the opposition defender and kicked it off the keeper and was delighted to see it rebound in off his chest. David got our final contribution with a beautiful goal from play.
We would also like to thank Kilfrush Crusaders for travelling over for the early morning kick off and referee Noel Maguire for his contribution to a great game of football. Man of the match Donnacha O’Dwyer
