Last Saturday the 26th March we had a mass exodus of young Charleville Soccer Players to the Aviva to watch Ireland take on Belgium in what was a very entertaining game. 2 buses taking 3 x U11 teams and 2 x U13 teams vacated the Town Park at 10.30am and headed on to Dublin on what was a glorious day. It was a great journey with all kids very well behaved; We made a stop for some food in Barrack Obamas enroute and arrived in Dublin at approx. 15.15. This gave the lads plenty of time to soak in a wonderful atmosphere and secure bugles and blowers with Scarves to add to the atmosphere of the entire occasion

We were seated for approx. 16.00 which gave all 1 hour to see the inside of the wonderful stadium and watch the players warming up. Kick off was fixed for 17.00 and it proved to be a most entertaining game with 4 goals in all and both Ireland and Belgium sharing the spoils at 2-2, Scorers were Chiedozie Ogbene and Alan Browne. Attendance at the Aviva Stadium Dublin was 48,808.

We vacated pitch following game in orderly fashion and were back on the buses for approx. 20.00 and arrived home at approx. 23.15. Lots of pictures were taken and shared and rest assured this occasion and trip will last long in memories of all.

Thanks to all Adults who supervised on day and to all Parents for their continuing support with the kids. An extra thank you to Paul Manning of Manning coach hire in Croom for their very professional service and their drivers John and Jim. The time and patience given to our group to enjoy the day was first class.
