Charleville AFC 4-0 Killmallock AFC
Scorers Shane Dillon 2, Darren Casey, Eoin Clifford
Charleville AFC claimed their place in the Semi Final of the Lawson Cup with a dominant win against Premier side Killmallock AFC last Saturday evening.
Two goals in either half was enough for Charleville to claim victory in what was a great game of football played in superb conditions. Darren Casey opened the scoring finishing from close range after Cian McNamara had done superbly well to create space in the box, Shane Dillon then increased the lead cutting in from the left and finishing low into the bottom corner past the visiting goalkeeper.
Shane Dillon claimed the 3rd into the 2nd half with a brilliant piece of individual skill curling the ball into the top corner from the edge of the box using the outside of his foot. And the 4th was created and scored by two 2nd half substitutes after Donal O’Connell set up Eoin Clifford.
The result saw Charleville set-up a semi-final tie vs Premier giants Pike Rovers FC
