U10 girls blitz hosted by Cappamore Celtic in Murroe Charleville AFC team 1:
On Sunday Charleville u10 girls white team played 3 games in a mini tournament in Murroe.
The facilities and set up in Murroe were excellent. In our first game we played Cappamore Celtic 1. We played against a strong breeze in the first half but our backs Annalee Egan and Caoimhe Buckley were outstanding in protecting our keeper Bronagh Curtin, who contributed with some great saves all day. The second half was played at a frantic pace with goals for both teams, with an absolute cracker of a goal from Vivianna Jaunsile.
We were well warmed up for our second game against Murroe. We started fast and kept control of the game throughout. We scored a few great goals, with Pippa Watson in midfield linking up well Grace Holton to score a brace of goals. In our final game we played Cappamore Celtic 2, and while the girls had put in huge efforts in the first 2 games, they weren’t found wanting in the last. Some lovely neat play was awarded a number of times, and it was Grace Mortell who took over the goal scoring exploits with 2 lovely goals.
As every weekend/blitz passes the girls are improving massively and are already looking forward to the next one.
Squad: Bronagh Curtin, AnnaLee Egan, Caoimhe Buckley, Grace Holton, Viviana Jaunsile, Grace Mortell, Pippa Watson.
