Charleville AFC secured 3pts last Sunday morning with a routine win away to struggling Hill Celtic.
Four goals in the opening 10 minutes set the tone for what was a dominant 1st half display with Cian McNamara collecting a hat-trick along with single strikes from top scorer Shane Dillon and defender Ciarain Carey.
All 5 subs were introduced at half time with Donal O’Connell, Sean McCormack, Dylan O’Donoghue, Colin Quaid and Eoin O’Connor replacing Darren Butler, Darren Casey, Luke Doyle, Eoin Clifford and Cian McNamara. It was substitute O’Connell who started the 2nd half scoring 2 fine goals after great build up play, before Gary Ward curled home a free kick from 25 yards.
The result saw Charleville extend their lead at the top of Premier A to 5 points although they have played 2 games more than the chasing pack.
