*Charleville AFC 5 *
*Aisling Annacotty B 2*
Shane Dillon 3, Darren Casey, Cian McNamara
Charleville AFC kept their winning run going in the league as they defeated Annacotty B team last Sunday morning.
After a strong start from Charleville, it was Annacotty who opened the scoring after Charleville failed to clear their lines from a low cross in from the left. The score line was back level in a matter of minutes when Darren Casey fired home after great work by man of the match Cian McNamara. And it was only a couple of minutes later that Charleville took the lead through Shane Dillon and it was Dillon again just before half time who extended the lead further beating the visiting goalkeeper with ease when put through on goal.
Cian McNamara would fire home the home sides 4th goal 5 minutes into the 2nd half, finishing low into the bottom corner from distance after a lovely piece of individual skill to beat the defender. By now Charleville were well on top and Dillon claimed his hat-trick on the hour mark. A late penalty for Annacotty was a mere consolation as Charleville ran out deserved winners after putting in one of their better team performances of the season. Charleville move 6pts ahead of 2nd placed Fairview Rangers B in the race for the Premier A title.
