McNamara scores two as Charleville gain a point in the Limerick Desmond Ladies Premier League
Abbeyfeale 3 Charleville 3 (Catriona Davies, Cayleigh McNamara x2)Charleville Ladies eventually got some points on the board after gaining a point in a goal feast match against the league leaders Abbeyfeale last Sunday.

Conditions were wet, wild and windy but that didn’t stop Charleville’s hard pressing game in the early stages of the game. Charleville were rewarded with this as a misplaced goal kick from Abbeyfeale came to Catriona Davies who sent it back towards the Abbeyfeale goal with interest, and it sailed over the keepers head and into the net to give the Ladies a well deserved lead. Two more goals followed suit after hard pressing from Charleville. Cayleigh McNamara got her first two goals of the season and her ladies career, with two nicely nestled goals into the corner of the net on either side of half time.

Abbeyfeale’s never die attitude got them back into the game and finished strong, but secured two well worked goals to tie the game and stop Charleville taking all the three points.
