Charleville AFC 3 Aisling Annacotty 3
On Sunday last in glorious sunshine in Tim Fitzgerald Park our U 13 Girls Premier League team played Aisling Annacotty in what turned out to be a top of the table cracker of a match.
Aisling started very quickly and before our girls could catch their breath Aisling had the ball in the back of the net…we equalised through a cracking Faye Ronan free kick before Aisling scored 2 more goals before half time. True to form our girls totally dominated the second half with Leah Ryan scoring a now characteristic goal of great quality before Roisin Walsh converted a penalty with great precision to leave the game level at full time.
Full credit to all the girls in the squad for digging deep, believing in their own abilities and never throwing in the towel. Every girl contributed massively to this great game.Many thanks to Aisling Annacotty for a very sporting game.
