Holycross 3 Charleville 3

On last Saturday we headed over to Holycross to play our fifth game of the league campaign. This was a top of the table clash and it didn’t disappoint. Both sides gave nothing away in the early stages as both teams knew the importance of this game. But after about 20 minutes Charleville began to take control and went up 2-0 with 2 well taken goals from Bobby Walsh and Charlie Collins. But with a lapse of concentration we let in two goals and let Holycross back into the game and went in at half time 2-2.It was a really tense game now and both teams went at it after the break and Finn Curtin put us ahead with ten minutes to go..Holycross had no other option but to throw everything at us and got a very fortuitous goal with the last kick of the ball. The lads were very disappointed to concede in the last minute but they still remain unbeaten and top of the league at the halfway stage with it all to play for. Our next game will be in the National Cup Competition on the 13th of November at home to Regional united from Limerick.
