Charleville progressed to the 3rd round of the FAI Junior Cup after a relatively comfortable win over premier side Geraldines.
Although there was no score in the 1st half, Charleville were the dominant side having plenty of possession but making little impact as the experienced Geraldines defence stood firm.
In the 2nd half Charleville increased the tempo, moved the ball much faster and got their rewards with 5 well taken goals, however this was only after Jesse Smith in the home goal had made two saves from close range as the visitors searched for the opening goal.
