Club History

Charleville AFC was founded in 1968 and has its home grounds at Tim Fitzgerald Park Moatville Limerick Road Charleville where we have the use of 2 grass pitches and access to a community UEFA certified all weather pitch and a further grass pitch in the Town Park.

The club welcomes new members and are very proud of the large number of boys and an ever-increasing number of girls joining the club. We currently have 30 teams and over 400 members making it one of the largest sports clubs in Munster.

Charleville AFC caters for players from the age of 5 years of age up to junior men’s and ladies’ teams. We have strong connections not just in the parish of Charleville but also in the surrounding communities of Ballyhea, Churchtown, Liscarroll, Newtownshandrum, Dromina, Milford, Ballyagran, Bruree, Effin, Freemount and Buttevant. Year after year we have seen an increase in our membership as we strive to make everyone feel welcome and a part of the club.

The club colours are Red and White.
